My full name is Lane Sawyer Thompson. I am an outgoing individual with years of teaching English, content creation and user functionality along with accessibility. I love to have an eye for design and while my personal style is to bold and bright, I love to design new projects outside of my comfort zone. I can work well under my own initiative and along with a team following strict deadlines. I am trained in public speaking, and have excellent communication skills. The combination of my skills and personality help to create a relaxed work atmosphere. I enjoy encouraging clients to reach their potential.
In my spare time, I enjoy running and fitness. I am improving my Spanish skills while I live in Madrid, Spain. I was a frequent traveller having been able to live in 5 different countries and visit 31 countries. My hobbies include reading and listening to new/old obscure music. I'm very interested in pixel art and finding ways to recreate the look and feel of the decades past.
I have a strong passion for trying new things and motivating myself to accomplish seemingly insurmountable tasks. As of now, I am currently enrolled and close to completing a Full Stack Web Developer course. And my goals are to keep learning new and exciting ways to improve my hobbies, code and overall life.
This website was developed and designed for a client who wished to promote her skills as a Shitasu specialist. It is fully live and used to inform clients on the services and price for a Shiatsu session in either English or Italian. It was built using Bootstrap and customised Javascript functions as per the client's requests.
This is a list of some JavaScript examples I have learned from The Modern Javascript Bootcamp Course. Including "Message" a place where you store a message that will give you an ecrypted link to share, "Clock Timer" a stopwatch to keep track of time, a "Maze Game" where you use the key pad to reach a target, a "Coin Game" where you use the key pad to reach a coin and it resets each time. And finally, a "Movie-Fight" where you can compare movies based on their info on IMDB.
This is a list of the projects I have made as apart of the Code Institute Full Stack Developer course. These help demonstrate my practice and knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python. Along with using frameworks such as Bootstrap, Materalize, and Flask. Each website demonstrates an ability to create responsive websites for all devices and the ability to reach diverse needs. Love Running shows how I learnt how to build a website in CSS/HTML, Resume shows my knowledge of using Bootstrap for responsive websites, Love Maths demonstrates my knowledge of using Javascript to create algorithims, and Thorin shows my knowledge using Flask and Python to display information.
